Bio
Born in Flushing, Queens, I spent my youth growing up in New York City. As the son of a sanitation officer and homemaker, I am the youngest of 5 children. I had a fairly unremarkable childhood and survived being the baby in the house. Growing to the height of 6'6" and 220 lbs by the time I was 16 surely contributed to my survivability. During my teenage years I attended public schools with extracurricular activities steering me to the path of becoming an eagle scout.
A few years later, while attending New York University, I began training to be an EMT. I worked briefly as a volunteer EMT and this gave me a taste for emergency medicine. I was never quite satisfied, however, after extricating and transporting patients to an emergency department. There was always a portion of me that needed to know what happened next and how the patients were treated. This desire to be a part of "what happened next" is what led me to pursue a career in emergency medicine.
After obtaining a second bachelors degree, I attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. After 4 years of training I began a residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. After another three years of training, my dream was realized. I am now very happy to be a part of the Kaiser network and will continue to work hard to be of great service to my patients. |
