Bio
I love my job as a physical therapist here at Kaiser Permanente! There is no greater reward than to help in the healing process of your patients. Physical therapy involves both art and science, allowing the therapist the creativity to effectively treat and design a personalized exercise program for my patients. Working in occupational medicine allows me to take this one step further, as the added goal is to help the patient return to work.
Exercises are especially tailored with their job tasks in mind. Body mechanics and ergonomic training becomes a major focus of our treatment. When my patients go back to work, they often feel better then they ever did and now they have the tools to prevent re-injury in the future. This is such an exciting part of my job! Watching this transformation in my patients is very rewarding. It is an honor to be a part of this process.
Working for Kaiser makes my job so easy. Communication between the other therapists, doctors, lab and medical imaging is just a computer click or phone call away. Having all this information allows me to formulate the best treatment plan for my patients. The occupational medicine staff is wonderful. Everyone has a very positive outlook, placing the needs of the patients first. They are a joy to work with.
Specialty Interests:
Osteopathic treatment for neck and back injuries.
Ergonomic Training. I am an ergonomic consultant for Kaiser employees.
My spare time is spent with my husband and 2 year old son. We love to go on walks around Spring Lake or the beach, playing in the park or just relaxing by the fire reading stories to our son. Seeing the world through his big brown eyes is magical.
