Bio I joined Kaiser in September, 2008 after 12 years of private practice in California and Oregon. I grew up in Massachusetts and Virginia and came west as an adventure for my residency program at University California, Davis. I loved the west coast so much that I never went back east to live again and now consider California my true home. My goal as your pediatrician is to be an integral part of the team it takes to raise a healthy child. I try to listen to parents closely when it comes to the health of their children because more often than not, parental instincts are right. I hope we can work together to make the best decisions about your child or teenagers' health. My special interest is in female teenage health and I was the primary provider for teenage gynecology care in my previous offices. I hope to continue to promote safe and healthy lifestyles for teens throughout my medical career. I find that teenage girls will often confide in me, as a fellow female, and this is such an important connection for a teenager going through the stresses of adolescence to make. In turn, I can be a resource that they trust for help with their health issues. I work Mondays, Tuedays, Wednesdays and Fridays seeing patients from 8:30am to 5:00 pm. I do not work on Thurdays(that is my day to be on Mommy duty!).
My Medical Specialty
More details about my specialty: I know many parents have questions about immunizations these days. I am a believer in immunizations, as I think the benefits outweight the risks. I am, however, flexible and open to discussion about immunizing your child--we can work together regarding the best plan for your child.
Interests
I have been a runner since I joined the 8th grade track team. My current goal is to run a half marathon with my best friend from residency training in 2010.
Family & Friends
People in my life: I have a fantastic and fun husband who I have known for 18 years now. We met in Virginia and then came to California together in 1993. My children and people I care about: I have one son who is seven years old and is in second grade. He loves pirates, dragons and knights.

Travel
An adventure I've had: I love traveling to National and State Parks. My favorites are Yosemite, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons.
