Kaiser Permanente Health Plans Rank Number 1 on 'America's Best Health Insurance Plans'
Kaiser Permanente has the top-ranked health plans in the nation in both Medicaid and Medicare, according to a joint ranking by U.S. News & World Report and the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Kaiser Permanente Colorado is the No.1 ranked Medicare health plan in the country, while Kaiser Permanente Hawaii took the top spot in the Medicaid rankings.

Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals Report Third Quarter 2009 Financial Results
Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc., Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, and their subsidiaries reported today a combined total operating revenue of $10.5 billion for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2009, compared to $10.2 billion in the third quarter of last year. Third quarter net income was $569 million, versus a $399 million net loss in the third quarter of last year.

Kaiser Permanente Examines Complexity and Potential of Diversity at 32nd Annual Conference
Kaiser Permanente will host its 2009 National Diversity Conference Nov. 4-6 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. Kaiser Permanente Gives $5.2 Million to Endow Center for Health Equity at UCLA
The UCLA School of Public Health has received a $5.2 million gift from Kaiser Permanente to endow the UCLA Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Equity. The center, formerly known as the Center to Eliminate Health Disparities, is dedicated to improving the health of underserved populations through research, community collaboration and leadership development.

Kaiser Permanente Approves $19 Million in Community Benefit Grants
Kaiser Permanente, one of America's leading health care providers and nonprofit health plans, announced today that it has approved $19 million in grants and donations to 465 nonprofit organizations nationwide in the third quarter of 2009. The health care organization's grants this quarter focused on improving the quality of care in public hospitals and community clinics, creating respite care programs for the homeless, providing communities with access to healthy foods during hard economic times, and awarding scholarships to children interested in careers in health care.
