Why I Chose Nursing

I love health issues, working with people and the body as well as working in an Emergency/Critical Care setting. I chose nursing because it was a way I felt I could give back to others.

An Interesting Part of My Job

I love the ER because you never know what is coming through the door. I love having to act quickly and "think" critically at the spur of the moment.

Biography

I started as a CNA in Med/Surg in 1998, hospital transporter and then ED Tech while going to SRJC nursing school. I worked as an RN in the ER for 4 years, last year I became Charge Nurse for the day shift. I also worked at UCSF in the ICU, Sutter in the Emergency Room. I am currently working on getting a BSN the CSU Dominguez Hills. I have been married for 15 years, and moved from Canda due to my husband's job with Agilent. I have lived in Sonoma County for 9 years.
