Why I Chose Nursing

I chose nursing because during the births of our children I had night and day experiences because of the nurses I had caring for me. When I saw the difference a nurse could make, I knew eventually I wanted to become a nurse and make a positive impact in people's lives.

An Interesting Part of My Job

Our bodies are "fearfully and wonderfully made" and I enjoy the science and heart of caring for patients. I love learning about the cmplexity of each patient while caring for the individual's emotional and spiritual needs.

Biography

While I was in nursing school at SRJC, I competed on the Bear Cub swim team. Prior to entering nursing school I enjoyed being a stay at home mom with our two daughters. Involvement in their elementary school, our church, and pursuing interest in sewing, travel and language sometimes meant I wasn't often "at home."
