Why I Chose Nursing

I always wanted to be a nurse and started nursing school in 1976. I was not ready to be a nurse at this time of my life. After my children were older, I went back to school. I love everything about nursing. As I tell people, "I get to come to work every day!"

An Interesting Part of My Job

I love working with individual patients. Kaiser, with our 1 nurse to every 4 patients ratio, gives me the opportunity to give personal care and to make a difference in other's lives.

Biography

I have been a nurse for 3 years. I went back to school when my children were older. I am married, have four children (2 boys, 2 girls) and one very precious grandchild due in April 2007. This summer I took a road trip with my 2 daughters (ages 20 and 17) across the United States, ending in Savannah, Georgia. We had a lot of fun and saw a bit of the South.
