Bio
In 1992 my partner Gayle & I purchased a 40 acre parcel in the western Sonoma County hills. We moved up here in 1993 after living in San Francisco for 16 years, fulfilling a life-long dream of living out in the country.
My interests include organic gardening, landscaping, forest management, cycling, yoga, playing (fiddle/keyboards) and singing music with friends, reading, astronomy and my latest pursuit is sea kayak fishing.
An interest in the study of anatomy and a curiosity about my own injuries (from judo and skiing) and interest in learning about the body's amazing ability to heal attracted me to physical therapy.
My training has focused on manual neuro-musculo-skeletal therapy and recent studies in pain science. In my practice I enjoy educating and facilitating patients in the process of healing (both after injury or surgery), how to regain function and how to return to a previous level of activity or to modified activities.
I also enjoy instructing patients in the principles of the musculo-skeletal system to both prevent or to hasten recovery from future injuries.
I believe that the key to maintaining good musculo-skeletal health is to keep moving to maintain flexibility and strength, whether it's moving while sitting at the computer or training for that next marathon.
